Sewing Machines - Different Types For Different Jobs
What are the different types of sewing machines?
Consumer sewing machines. The most common kind of consumer model is the zig-zag and straight stitch machine. Most modern consumers have sewing machines, at least these two stitches, plus some more.
Sergers () aka overlockers merrow or machines. If you are wearing clothes bought from a store, you need only look in your clothes to see what looks for a serged stitchlike. These machines are in use that 3, 4, or 5-strings, like the standard-2, however complicated. The wonderful thing about these machines, cut them, as they sew, so you get a perfectly clean, finished seams. They are also the engine of choice for sewing knits (the seam line).
Industrial Sewing Machines (aka commercial machines). These are used to super-fast machines in production. You are creating a kind of trick, but dedicatedYou can be sure it will do well. There are industrial machines for straight stitch, zigzag, serging, blind hems, ruffles buttonhole makers and much more. They are very expensive, but if you sew for a living, they can be worth the effort.
New and used sewing machines, if you are a consumer model to buy, it's always more fun to see something new out of the box. That is, I have made many a cute outfit with an old Singer machine that not only straight stitch(well, I have no stretch outfits with that one). But modern sewing machines usually have some very cool decorative stitches and can be great fun to create with.
As for industrial sewing machines, it is quite common to buy a used model, because these machines are very expensive and because they carry only need to unerringly to one type of stitch, they can usually be counted on a long, long time.
How do you find the Sewing Machineto buy?
My advice, read on the Internet to find sewing forums and ask questions. If you have a good sewing store in your town, take their minds (even though) I always prefer to speak opinions on vendors.
Decide what you primarily as sewing, which would also make a difference. For example, you can sew some knitting on a regular machine, but if you're going to make bathing suits or sportswear, it is best to go with neaten in a single motion.
